The art is modeled in a curved shape and the hill top features 3D grass accents. This piece is a stand-out for Christmas on a table or mantle for a beautiful Christmas display. Meticulously crafted by hand, it measures approximately 10 inches across.
Story Behind the Art:
The process of turning sheets of metal into beautiful art is all done by hand. Artisans take discarded 50 gallon steel drums that were originally used to transport oil into the capital of Haiti and recreate. First, they burn the oil residue off the drums and then cut and flatten the steel. The intricate details are chiseled and hammered to create the magnificent, upcycled art. Crafted from recycled 55-gallon steel drums by village artisans in Haiti, this stunning nativity wall art is truly one-of-a-kind!
Given the handmade nature of this product please allow for minor variations. As the metal is recovered from recycled oil drums and colored through a burning process it will vary slightly in coloration. Typically the piece has a darkened steel patina. Each piece of art is coated with a layer of clear coat to help protect the metal.
